how exactly do you get them cause ive gone to the ppl but it doesnt give me an option to give them money for the blessings

The area must have the flavor for the gods to appear.

It works like FoW/UW, the gods will only appear if your area has the god's flavor.

For Factions:
The area that you are in must be controlled by your factions by the red/blue line on the map.

Well you also have to /kneel in front of the statue as well, so the avatar would come out. In Factions you need to talk to the priest and pay them to get the blessing.
